Client Problems:

Oil prices are volatile, margins are eroded. The cost of transport of goods and parts to remote locations is now a serious issue for all goods and parts. The costs of cranes, boat-cranes, helicopter-services is under review as they eat into operational budgets.

Neva Solutions:

Unmanned Air cargo (UAC) offers an energy-efficient alternative to helicopters, boats, trucks and vans. With a take-off weight of up to 2 tonnes and their long range, Neva drones will be the best solution for the vast majority of shipments.

UAC offers lower capital investment (Capex) and operational costs (OpEx), especially when compared to expensive helicopter transport capex and operations.

Current Practice:

Sport manufacturers, enthusiasts and extreme sportsmen and sportswomen use homemade electrical thrusters for their activities or electrical ducted fans designed for other applications.

UAV / UAS Manufacturer

Current Practice:

Manufacturers of multi-copters, wing and hybrid VTOL manufacturers continue to use electric motors and propellers. These are cheap and affordable and relatively safe – although we prefer to see propellers safely caged in ducts - but they limit the potential for development.

Client Problems:

End users will require UAVs and UAS to be heavier, carrying more significant payloads, which in turn calls for larger motors and larger propellers.

UAS & UAV must be safer and provide health and safety technologies for the surrounding environment and living beings. The use of turbofans provides a drastically higher level of health and safety unmatched by existing multi-rotor drones.

Designers and manufacturers of UAS, VTOL hybrid-wings or multi-copters, must also ensure that their systems will be safe, and are able to fly near physical assets and people safely, in high density populated areas, and/or fly in interior spaces with high safety level.

Construction

Current Practice:

Cranes for on-site material handling and scaffolding for work at height are still normal practice.

The industry is still ‘bricks and mortar’ and is not ready for 3D printing.

Client Problems:

Using cranes is costly, can be dangerous, and requires long-term planning with contracts set a long time in advance and difficult to vary. Wheeled cranes or heli-cranes are costly to purchase or hire, are rarely available rapidly and operational expenditure is high. Scaffolding requires mounting and dismantling time and resources.
3D printing for building requires heavy printer system based on costly standard-cranes.

Neva Solutions:

Aerial remotely piloted cranes (ARPC) will be far less costly and therefore more rapidly available compared to the current generation of crane systems.

Neva Modular Air Crane System designs (Eole-I modules) are scalable and adaptable to payload requirements – whether they act as cranes or 3D printing systems. They are transportable, can be packed & assembled by operators on the ground or on boats or can auto-assemble once unpacked and charged.

Battery life time is a known issue that we have addressed. Our systems can reload automatically and/or can refuel in the air with modules that provides extra battery life.

Neva systems can also be used for construction 3D printing and robotic interventions where it is dangerous for humans.
